I think this stand's problem is that the user NEEDS to have literal AC and protection around him in order to not get killed by his own stand, which makes it practically useless in a direct confrontation or any fight that you weren't prepared for.

It's his ghoul cells. When his ghoul cell count is high his hair turns white. When it's black he's repressing the ghoul cells. That's why it's black when he first turns, because he doesn't accept himself as a ghoul at first, then white after he's tortured and accepts his new identity, Haise was a ghoul working with humans, so his cell count was high but not as high because he again wasn't fully accepting his role as a ghoul, back to black when Kaneki wakes up because he's mentally unstable and intentionally represses his cells for awhile so he can't heal as well. That's also why some other characters have white hair, because their ghoul cell count is that high.

Guile was most likely originally inspired by Narumi from Rick-Oh and his name was originally Shilke Muller, it is show in the way he is designed in the original concept art of the fighters in 1988, but then i think they made his hair more like Ponareff and some guy looked at it and said - "Hey, thats Geil" because he confused Polnareff's name with his enemey lol, when they noticed it they mixed up the names, it was too late to change, thats why they gave him the name Guile. Then while they were desiging his 2D character, as a joke, the designers decided to stretch his hair very much, and they were probably like - "Oh shit, now he looks like Stroheim" and then i think they possibly made him blonde because of that, i think he maybe had white hair before that lol. And another useless fact was that he was originally in the Marines instead of the Air Force, and that he had a knife as a weapon (like Narumi) and he also was a genius with a very high IQ (i don't remember exatcly, but maybe it was 200) and he could read his opponents next move, of course in game lore not on the game lol.
